Comfort Conditioning with Cooling

5-Star Options

Air conditioning is acknowledged as a luxury in most homes and therefore "desirable" by all, Villavent has brought Heat Recovery Ventilation to the 21st century by launching Villavent Comfort Conditioning. These products give you the ability to chose the level of comfort required within each individual home- not just heat recovery but a whole lot more. The cost is approximately half the price of a typical domestic full air conditioning system. Comfort conditioning is better and healthier than air conditioning. Its five key factors are:

  • 1: Additional heating.
Top up heating raises the room temperature when the outside air temperature falls bellow freezing. The basic Heat Recovery system is usually supplied with this facility. Higher-Efficiency units like the Rotary Wheel rarely need extra heating input to temper the incoming air. However this is not a substitute for central heating but can be used to supplement your heating on very cold nights.

    2: Exceptional levels of filtration.
The E.U7 filter (standard on most recovery units) has proved highly effective at removing Dust, Pollen and other fine particles. This is of great Benefits to suffers from Asthma, Hay Fever and Allergies and has won The British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval. Where Exceptional levels of filtration are needed you can choose to add an Electrostatic Filter - the Villavent E.L.F.I. This removes around 97% of all airborne particles down to 0.1 micron, including Pollen, Bacteria, Smoke, Viruses, Country Odors and Traffic Fumes.

    3: Quietness of air movement.
The standard sound level laid down in building Regulations is typically, a noise Rating of 30 in a bedroom and 35 in a living room. You have the option to choose to reduce the noise levels to less than NR 30 during normal operation. This mean noise levels below 30 dba- as quite as the noise levels you would expect to find in a Library.

    4: Higher heat recovery.
You have the option to further reduce the energy consumption of your house. The industry standard is 65 to 70 %. You can choose to install a Villavent Rotary Wheel unit, which will recover 80% of the Heat. If you want even higher efficiency you can choose a Villavent Counterflow unit which give you 90% + efficiency.

    5: Cooling
As summers are becoming warmer, Villavent Comfort Conditioning with Cooling system is an excellent way of providing gentle whole-house cooling at a lower capital cost than expensive thermostatically controlled air conditioning. Villavent Cooling system can be tailor-made to suit different buildings and they can easily be retro-fitted into existing Villavent Heat Recovery Ventilation systems, providing that all supply air ducting is pre-installed. The Villavent Cooling unit will cool and dehumidify the incoming ambient air by 8-12% C in summer. Depending on the amount of heat gain in the building and the amount of air provided by the ventilation system the room temperature will be affected accordingly. Controls are simple, and the louvers and grills are neat and unobtrusive. You can choose an internal or external unit (where any noise is kept outside the house). With cooler air comes lower humidity levels and that all helps to provide a more comfortable environment in those ever-increasing hot, sticky summers!
